About NeuroAware CIC
We exist to empower neurodiverse people and parents/carers of SEND children by sharing our first-hand knowledge and expertise.
Driven by Lived Experience
NeuroAware CIC was founded by a neurodivergent parent based in East Durham. Having personally navigated the relentless challenges of raising a child with SEND, our founder understands the emotional and practical toll that navigating these complex systems takes on families.
We know exactly what it feels like to sit across the table, feeling overwhelmed by educational jargon, bureaucratic red tape, and the constant fight for the right support. That is why we are here: to stand beside you, ensuring your voice—and your child's voice—is heard loud and clear.
Our Core Mission
Our mission is simple: to equip you with the knowledge and confidence to know your rights. We believe that no parent or individual should have to accept less than what the law strictly requires.
We bring a detailed, expert-level understanding of SEND law, Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes, and effective advocacy strategies. We combine this technical knowledge with genuine empathy and compassion.
A Community You Can Trust
Beyond individual casework, we are committed to building a community. We want to foster environments where neurodiversity is celebrated and understood, through training, ongoing support groups, and unwavering advocacy.
"Giving you the knowledge and confidence to stand up for yourself or your child."
